Spirit Guides - Who They Are & How To Connect

       Hello I am Melody and I want to introduce you to the topic of Spirit Guides. This is an article that is about basic information for your spirit guide journey. You don't want to take this too fast. It should be slow and steady. I will also be telling you a little about my spirit guides for reference purposed. So let's start this journey!!

        I'm sure in one form or another you have heard the term spirit guide or guardian. But have you ever stopped to wonder what it is about these entities that are so fascinating? Have you ever stopped to ask is it real? In many civilizations throughout history the ancient people would speak about such entities. They were always there for them throughout everyday tasks and also for deeper spiritual purposes. For example the ancient shaman would come into contact with these beings through various rituals they conducted. Even in Christianity you will hear talk of guardian angels. It is all different names for the exact same thing. So come with me in this moment to learn more about these helpful Spirits who guide our lives every day.

          The term spirit guide is pretty self-explanatory. Most of the time the image associated with spirit guides is the Native Americans. However a spirit guide can be anyone. These entities work on a higher vibrational frequency then us here on earth. We are in a physical plane of existence. But outside of our current incarnations we are just like them, capable of inter realm travel. You may also call this inter dimensional travel. There are some who may have had previous lives on earth before. Yet there are others who may not have ever incarnated on earth. Spirit guides can look like us humans or they can look completely different like an alien. But do let me remind you that people on other planets may call us aliens. Spirit guides have a much higher perspective then we can comprehend. They know all there is to know about us, and are happy when someone chooses to try to communicate with them.

          So how would you know that you have a spirit guide? Everybody has a spirit guide! In most cases people will have more than one. They can come from many different walks of life. Some may have been incarnated on earth before. While others may be from far off distant places you have never heard of. That is the magic of spirit guides. They are like lifelong friends that nobody could convince to leave you. As for me I currently know of three that have been with me for a very long time. They each hold a different purpose, yet I can hardly imagine my life without them. For the sake of explaining this topic, perhaps I should introduce you to my spirit guides before we get any deeper.

         The first one I suppose I should explain would be Amoris. She has never been incarnated on earth before. She is a high being from the realms of light and has a wonderful high vibrational energy. When I was a child she came to me in the form of a young girl. This young girl reminded me of me and that was ironic. I would see her with what I know now is my mind's eye. I would hear her with my spiritual inner ear. The name she gave me was Margaret Willow. Even at that age I wondered if there was more that she wasn't telling me and I was correct. Now I know her as the true being she really is. She had come to me like that when I was a little girl so I would be prepared. By her coming to me as the best thing she thought I could relate to, it prepared me for my spiritual learning. In my late teens I had a very wonderful dream where I was flying over a beautiful land. The fields were golden like wheat, and there were hills and mountains. This scenery looked other worldly to me, because of the amount of beauty. There were some ruins which were a tannish color, and I flew down and began exploring them. I came across a waterfall that would be in a small garden. You know the one’s where the water it trickling down rocks and pooling down below. This water was shimmering and glowing balls, almost fairy like, was coming from the water. It was magnificent. Then to the left of me I saw a woman standing there. She wore a long blue gown. In human terms she would be considered tall and average weight. Her skin color was a golden bronze color. It was a color that is very hard to explain in human terms. She appeared to glow!! Her face looked so calm and peaceful. She looked angelic. I later came to realize that this dream/vision I had was Amoris’s true identity.

         The second one I'm going to tell you about is Lorelei. She has been incarnated on earth before. Her life when she was here was not particularly easy. She was very wise and lived during a very rough period in history. Her life was filled with following her heart and what she felt was right and true. She practiced magic and witchcraft, although she never hurt anyone by doing so. That still did not stop the people at the time of accusing her. I think you may know where I'm going with this. She died as a result of a witch trial. However there was no trial they killed her before she could even try to prove her point. But she does not want anyone to feel sorry for the way that she left. Death is merely a transition. She assists me with my craft and spirituality. She lends me her fiery spirit whenever I need an extra boost in wit and mental strength. I have also come to realize that she manifested when I was younger too. I remember when I would be speaking with Margaret Willow; she would at times speak of a younger sister. Before I knew the truth I assumed she was a ghost. But I remember her telling me about a sister. I now know that this was Amoris’s way of introducing me to the energy of Lorelei. I have also come to find out that I share a connection with Lorelei through a connection I share with the Norse region. Consider this to be a past life. I won’t go too in depth with that though, perhaps another time.

          The third one is Hondor. This one will prove to be a long one so for the context of this article I am going to leave out certain parts. Hondor and I basically share a past life together. This was in the regions of the North. I was from Ireland and he was from Iceland, but he also traveled a lot on a Knorr ship. He would be considered a “Viking” by today’s society, but during channeling he makes it very clear that he does not consider himself a “Viking”. He tells me that history has a lot of things wrong about Viking culture, but slowly some of these are beginning to come to light. Anyway, he sends me strength and power. A symbol I look to personally to represent him would be thunder storms. I also saw him when I was very young while I was looking up into the sky seeing my very first rainbow. I saw his face with what I now know is my minds eye.

        So as you can see from what I just explained our connections with our spirit guides do run very deep. It is my belief that the more you grow a connection with your spirit guides, the deeper you try to dig and find out more about them and the connection you share, the more you will find out about yourself. For the purpose of keeping this article shorter, I am going to leave out my own personal discoveries. But they are there and I have learned a lot. It is a very beautiful process, and it is one you can go on too if you’re willing and open enough for the information. I notice some people will begin exploring information about there spirit guides and they will either stop after they heard their names or not go too much deeper. For example let’s take Lorelei. I could have stopped at she is just a witch who was murdered. I could live the rest of my life and just assume that that is all she is. But consider for a moment. Are you merely your physical self? No!! For example, I am Melody human of earth. But in the context of our higher selves and our soul, we are more. I am more and so are you!! So just like we have a lot more to offer then the flesh and bones of our body, so do they.

          This is bringing me to the point that what your spirit guides initially tell you or show to you about themselves, although true, can also hold a very deeper and more beautiful meaning. Remember how I saw Maragret but she turned out to be Amoris. She is still Margaret, it’s the same friend I came to know, but she is more then what I first thought. Basically the deeper you go into finding out more, the more then  will share with you. We have to show our dedication to spiritual learning. We cannot merely connect with them when we need something and then expect the connection to be divinely strong. It does take a lot of work to go deeper, but you can. The first place to start would be through meditation. You can also consider the techniques of pendulums or automatic writing. But I warn you, before you begin a technique you must learn all you can about it first. Don’t just go in unknowingly.

        Will you discover your spirit guides? I am sure that they are calling to you right now!! So how do you connect with your spirit guides? When you connect to your soul energy, you raise your vibration, and with a raised vibration it will be much easier for your Spirit Guide to make conscious contact with you. Our Spirit Guides are always communicating with us. It’s just that our lives and minds are so loud, busy, stressful, and chaotic that we don’t generally hear them. Our Spirit Guide’s presence is soft and subtle so as not to override our free will. Generally, we have to consciously get quiet, and actively choose to listen to these spirit beings if we are to be able to hear them. Actively consult with your Spirit Guide through writing. Ask for help, clarity, solutions, insight, and guidance. Also, be sure to express gratitude for all they do for you! You will receive answers, though these will most often come in unexpected, understated, symbolic ways.

        Keep a look out for signs, symbols, synchronicity, and “coincidences.” These contain messages for you. It’s true that “there is no such thing as a coincidence” in as much as coinciding events are always divinely orchestrated and as such always carry meaning and significance of some kind. You may also receive crystal clear messages from lines of songs you hear, books you read, conversations with people, discussions overheard, or even from television shows, messages that seem overlaid with heightened meaning and uncannily answer the very question you had. All of these occurrences can powerfully double as very real communication from your Spirit Guide. If you meditate with regularity, you make it a thousand times easier for your Spirit Guide to speak to you in a tangible way.

          Demonstrate your faith, trust, and belief in the existence of your Spirit Guide by asking, in the form of a prayer, for his or her name. Speak out loud to your Spirit Guide, let him or her know you wish to cultivate a closer relationship and that you'd like for that to begin with the powerful rite of passage of getting onto a first-name basis. If you ask for this revelation with fearlessness, true readiness, and with heartfelt conviction, in upcoming weeks you will receive the name.

        Once you start working with your spirit guide, you will naturally become aware of certain attributes of them. If you are clairvoyant ask them to show you how they look. If you are clairsentient you may sense how they look or their sex or race from your communication with them. If you are clairaudient, just ask them. In the final analysis it is up to them to tell you what they want you to know. Sometimes finding your spirit guides is easy, but for others you may have to work for a little while before you get all the answers you may want. Sometimes spirit guides will want to speak to you in riddle form and make you work for the answers. This was the way it is with Hondor. I feel they feel the answers will come with greater realization if we come to the conclusions for ourselves rather than them trying to tell us.

        If you have just said to yourself, well I’m not clairvoyant so I cannot find out those deeper things about my spirit guides. Stop right there so I can let you in on a secret. Anyway can develop a psychic gift if they really dedicate themselves to it, and this is a secret many don’t want you to know. Psychic gifts come from higher powers such as angels, source, our spirit guides, Gods/Goddesses, etc. They come from connection with our higher self as well. It’s just that some people will find it easier to connect with this energy. But ask any true psychic and they will tell you that there gifts didn’t just come one day out on nowhere. They have to dedicate themselves to spiritual practices, meditation, cleansings, energy work, etc. to maintain that heightened connection with the seen senses and the unseen senses. So yes you can tap into those clairvoyant abilities and try to dig deeper into finding out more about your spirit guides. I believe in you and so does your spirit guides.
